Dayton Christian delivered an outstanding road performance, defeating Carlisle 46–40 in a thrilling contest that showcased tremendous heart and determination. The Warriors improved to 7–5 (3-3) on the season with the impressive away victory, overcoming multiple lead changes and momentum swings to secure the win.
The game opened with energy and confidence as junior Rylan Slavens set the tone early, drilling back-to-back baskets—including a three-pointer—to give Dayton Christian a 5–3 advantage. The Warriors controlled the first quarter thanks to balanced contributions across the lineup. Sophomore Henry Meredith made an immediate impact off the bench with a three-pointer, while senior Asa Crockett added a pair of strong finishes to help build a 12–8 lead after one.
Carlisle responded in the second quarter, stringing together an 8-point run to erase the lead and take a 24–22 edge into halftime. But the Warriors showed their resilience coming out of the break. The third quarter turned into a three-point showcase, with senior Reid Collins, Crockett, and Meredith all connecting from deep to swing momentum back in Dayton Christian’s favor and reclaim a 35–34 lead heading into the final period.
The fourth quarter belonged to senior Brayden Kidd. After Carlisle briefly moved ahead 40–38, Kidd calmly knocked down clutch free throws to tie the game. Moments later, he delivered the play of the night—stripping the ball off the dribble from the man he was guarding and taking it coast-to-coast for the go-ahead basket with under 90 seconds remaining. From there, the Warriors’ composure at the free-throw line sealed the win, with Slavens and Crockett converting key attempts down the stretch.
Kidd and Crockett led the balanced scoring effort with 11 points each. Slavens added 10, while Meredith chipped in 9 on elite perimeter shooting, going 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. It was a complete team victory defined by toughness, execution, and poise under pressure.
