Dayton Christian Middle School Softball picked up their first win of the season on Thursday, rallying past CHCA for an 18–16 victory.
After falling behind early — including an eight-run deficit in the first inning — the girls battled back with big innings in both the 3rd and 4th to take the lead for good.
DC put up 10 hits, showed great patience at the plate with 9 walks, and ran aggressively with 17 stolen bases. Selah Vitas, Charlotte Lewis, Penelope Torroll, and Nora Douglas each had two hits, while Lewis and Lydia Curtner delivered key RBIs during the comeback. Curtner’s two-run double in the 4th helped seal the momentum.
On the mound, Selah earned the win in relief, striking out six and keeping CHCA’s offense in check over the final innings.
The Warriors played clean defense with zero errors, showing poise and resilience throughout the game.
Final: Dayton Christian 18, CHCA 16 — Warriors’ first win of the season.
Next up: at Legacy Christian on Monday.
