Another busy week for indoor track and field competition. Both middle school and high school Warriors were in action this past week and weekend. Andrew Eckert 7th grader would kick off the meet series starting last weekend in Logan, Oh.

Andrew double up in two running events 1600 and the 400 meter run. It was a early race morning for Andrew but that wouldn't slow down the twice 1600 meter school record breaking holder, soon to be third. Yes third! In his third week of competition he would set a new record and standard for DC middle school boys in the 1600 running a smooth but fast 5:41.81 finishing 7th overall out of 25. Previously ran 5:47.54, before that 6:00.68. Andrew is no stranger to the distance races as he holds the boys DC middle school record in the 400 and 800 too. He also competed in the 400 taking 9th place overall out of 12 runners. Great job Andrew in representing the DC MS Warriors! Congratulations to all the middle school runners at the Logan MS State Qualifier meet and job well done.

Andrew will compete again for MS and join the HS team at University of Findlay Daves Running High School Meet for the last chance state qualifier meet next weekend Feburary 21st at 9am in Findlay, OH
