Over 2,000 swimmers from 120 high schools, swimming at 9 preliminary sites are the numbers for the largest high school swimming event in the country: The Southwest Ohio High School Swimming and Diving Classic. Teams are assigned one of the nine preliminary sites with the goal of making the evening finals in Cincinnati. It is said that it is harder to make the evening finals of the Classic as everyone competes against everyone. There are no divisional breakdowns.
