The DC Warrior golf team delivered a thrilling performance at the final round of the SWBL Conference Tournament on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Beechwood Golf Course, rallying to secure 3rd place overall and an impressive 2nd place in the Buckeye Division. In a nail-biting finish, the Warriors posted a two-day total of 654, falling just one stroke shy of Valley View’s 653 in a back-and-forth battle for the top spot.

Leading the charge were Braden Fleming and Chase McCane, who lit up the course with matching 5 birdies each. Chase carded a stellar 73 (+1), showcasing precision with 7 pars and no double bogeys, while Braden followed closely with a 75 (+3), adding 7 pars to his birdie barrage. Their outstanding performances earned them both 1st Team SWBL honors, with Braden being named Player of the Year for his remarkable two-round score of 148. Brady Girwood contributed a solid 87 (+15) with a birdie and 5 pars, earning him a well-deserved spot on the 2nd Team SWBL. Jax Mangin added an 88 (+16) with a birdie and 6 pars, while Reid Collins rounded out the effort with a 91 (+19), battling through with 2 birdies and 4 pars.

The Warriors’ resilience and teamwork shone brightly, earning them a podium finish and individual accolades. With their sights set on future challenges, DC is riding high on this momentum.
